Multivisceral Resection Specimen
Case description
Patient presented with ileus, the cause was on obstructing mass in sigmoid colon. Surgery was indicated, peroperatively invasion into the abdominal wall and small intestine. The procedure consisted od sigmoid resection with TME, ileal resection and abdominal wall resection. Ileo-ileal s-t-s anastomosis was performed.
Postoperative course uneventful, patient discharged on POD 7.
Histology - colon adenocarcinoma pT4b N0 (0/19), G2, all resection margins clear.
