Greater Omentum Necrosis
Case description
A male patient, smoker, with the history of aterosclerosis presented with abdominal pain and increased inflammatory blood samples. CT scan with non-conclusive result. Laparotomy indicated with the omental necrosis found. No vessels obstructed and no intestinal ischemia confirmed, although suspected. Omentectomy performed.
No adverse events in postoperative course, patient discharged on POD3.
