Benjamin Schanker
Benjamin Schanker, MD - Ambassador United States

Benjamin Schanker is a MEDtube Ambassador for the United States. He is an MD/MBA Candidate at Harvard Medical School and the University of Oxford. Mr. Schanker graduated summa cum laude and as valedictorian with a BS in Human Physiology and BA in Biotechnology from Boston University. He has worked previously as a Consultant for the World Health Organization Department of Essential Health Technologies, later with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and on the Board of Trustees for the American College of Medical Quality. He is passionate about improving U.S. and global health care delivery, especially for populations in need. Ben plans to work on the forefront of health care innovation at the intersection of information technology, management and administration, to improve quality and patient-centered value.

Fatima Siddiqui
Fatima Siddiqui - Ambassador Canada

Medical student at DIMC, holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in Psychology and Biology. Due to her drive in humanitarian work, she has fulfilled several executive roles in social service - markedly serving as president of her local Rotary for several years. Also, Fatima's belief that medical research and practice are heavily intertwined have taken her to international conferences such as ICDDT. Personal interests include an ear for world music, a taste for fine coffee and French surrealism.

Ruchi Maniar
Ruchi Maniar - Global Ambassador

Ruchi is originally from the UK, having completed a BSc in Informatics at St George's University of London and an MSc in Genetics at Imperial College. She then went on to work as a research technician in a nutrition-based clinical study for two years, before coming to Poland to study Graduate Medicine. She is also the divisional head in Poland for an Oxford-based non-profit organisation called the Science Innovation Union. Being interested in digital health, and bio-entrepreneurship, Ruchi looks forward to using her skills and knowledge as a global ambassador for MEDtube.

Pierre Pardessus
Pierre Pardessus, MD - Ambassador France

Pierre Pardessus is a MEDtube Ambassador for France. He is currently working as a Resident in Paris’ Hospitals, practicing in Intensive Care and Anesthesiology. He graduated from Paris Descartes’ Medical School and has a Master Degree in Public Health and Medical Ethics. His interest in teaching goes back to the beginning of his studies when he worked for two years has head of the Students Mentoring for his Medical School. A passion he now continues to develop through MYMEDSCHOOL France, an e-learning, community-based online platform he created with the aim of modernising knowledge sharing between doctors, residents and medical students. He plans to participate in the global effort to use modern communication technologies as a mean to renew transgenerational knowledge-sharing in medicine.

4th year medical student at the Medical University of Warsaw. He has many years of experience as a medical assistant attached to Warsaw based clinic dealing with parasitic diseases, tick borne and pediatric issues. He seeks new solutions and opportunities coming from traditional and contemporary medical main stream, from different countries and cultures. For this reason, he undertook a two-year Erasmus exchange in Spain (University of Santiago de Compostela and Complutense University of Madrid) and had many foreign medical practices. Sara Afzal - Ambassador United States

Medical student at PCOM, holds a B.S. in biology and a M.S. in medical sciences with a focus in neuroscience. Her passion for cultures and languages led her to work with diverse people around the world as a licensed interpreter, speaking Dutch,Farsi, English, and Italian. She has a profound interest in the development and research of new and advanced medical treatments and has done clinical trial research in the biomedical field in the past. She also has a passion for oil painting and has started her own organization Art for a Cause where she not only supports charity causes, but also teaches autistic children a creative relay as a form of therapy. Olga Rostkowska, MD

Medical doctor graduated in June 2014 from the Medical University of Warsaw, currently working at the Infant Jesus Clinical Hospital in Warsaw. In 2013/2014, she was elected the President of the European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA) and in 2011/2012 she held the position of the Ethics and Culture Director of EMSA Europe. Currently, she contributes to the proceedings of the Association as a member of the Advisory Board. In 2012/2013, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the international magazine for medical students EuroMeds – published mainly on-line and in symbolic print. During her studies and as an early-graduate she had the occasion to work at the European Public Health Alliance EPHA (2014) and at the Standing Committee of European Doctors CPME (2012/2013) in Brussels, Belgium. Her involvement in the environment of international health organisations contributed to the development of vivid interest in public health and healthcare systems in Europe. Since 2011, she has been involved in the works of the International Association for Medical Education (AMEE) and assisted the smooth-running of its global annual conference. Vice President of IFMSA-Poland for Human Resources (2016). Member of several student research clubs; participant and award recipient of numerous medical conferences. Interned abroad in orthopedic surgery at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in Muscat (Oman); in plastic surgery at China Medical University Hospital in Taichung (Taiwan); and in cosmetic surgery at the New Horizons Center for Cosmetics Surgery in Chicago (USA). Enthusiast of esthetic dentistry, orthodontics, music therapy in dentistry and preventive health care. For many years, she has been working in the Institute of Integrated Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine, Jagiellonian University Medical College and in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Population Studies at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Jagiellonian University. She delivered papers at numerous conferences in Poland and abroad and was honoured with various awards. She is a member of PTS (Polish Dentistry Association), PTO (Polish Association of Orthodontics), American Music Therapy Association and World Federation of Music Therapy.

Author of scientific papers in fields of gastroenterology and pediatrics. Currently collaborating with a medical organization that provides basic healthcare in remote places in Africa. Her childhood dream is to work in less developed countries as a MD.
