Registration on MEDtube is very quick. Just complete a simple registration form that appears when you click on the "Register" button located in the upper right corner of the page. Once you fill the form, you will receive an activation message sent to your e-mail address. Click on the confirmation link to create your account. After signing in, you can complete your profile information.
Registred users can benefit from all the functionalities available on MEDtube. After registering you become a part of the MEDtube community. You can contribute by sharing medical knowledge, uploading your materials, rating, commenting and exchanging your views and experience with other users around the world. You will also be informed about the recent and most interesting materials uploaded on MEDtube.
You can use MEDtube for free. There are no charges for uploading, viewing or sharing medical videos, photos and documents. However, payment may be required to benefit from some functionalities, such as participation in eLearning courses or registration for events.
Medical videos or other files can be uploaded by registered users – doctors, nurses, teachers, paramedics, students and any other healthcare professional. The materials shared need to be of educational character and comply with technical requirements.
The idea behind MEDtube is its open nature. Our users present both very complicated and advanced techniques, treatments or procedures, as well as simple and seemingly trivial topics.
For many users the seemingly simplest things are of the greatest value, especially if they concern a field other than the one that the user is practising. We also care about students of medical sciences and young doctors for whom multimedia materials are an invaluable source of knowledge and supplement to theoretical knowledge.
MEDtube is a platform for exchanging and sharing medical knowledge and experience among physicians from around the world. The materials in the form of photos, videos, presentations, articles, reports and tests are the best form of presentation of medical issues. The files published should cover medical topics ranging from basic to the most advanced and complicated issues. You can also share materials relating to cases, treatments, medical procedures, as well as medical technologies. MEDtube does not publish free of charge any content featuring advertisements, brand names or product placement.
Each uploaded material is reviewed and verified by specialists – Medical Doctors from the MEDtube team. The verification is to provide medical content of the highest value. Selected materials are further commented by the experts to broaden the presented issue.
You can edit the uploaded materials after signing in to your account. You can find your uploaded files in My Multimedia section. Edited material requires approval by our administrators.
You can remove the uploaded material after signing in to your account. You can find your uploaded files in My Multimedia section. If your material has got an expert comment you can remove it after the administrator's approval.
MEDtube allows commenting on medical materiales, as well as user profiles and channels. To add a comment click the Add comment button under the material description or under materials published on a user profile or channel. In order to add comments, you need to be signed in.
Only registered users can rate medical videos, pictures and documents. To rate a published material you need to be signed in. You can find rating in the right bottom corner under every material. By moving the cursor from left to right you can rate the material in a 1 to 5 scale, where 5 is the highest rate.
Any material published on MEDtube can be rated by users. By comments and rating the authors of the materials get information about the value of their work, as well as guidelines to help them to raise the quality of their materials. Rating also enables a quick search for the materials of the highest value. This is especially useful for users who watch materials in the field that they do not deal with on an everyday basis. Ratings and comments also give an opportunity for discussion, exchange of views, opinions and experiences of doctors from around the world. Each rating and comment is highly valuabel to both users and authors.
Easiest way to search for medical videos, picures and documents is a search bar placed in the top section of the page. You can also view the uploaded materials going into the various medical categories and using tags. To precise your search you can use filters that appear above the presented results.
Any abuse or violation against the TOU should be immediately reported the the administrator.
Abuse or violation against the TOU in the comments should be reported by clicking SPAM button by the comment.
Abuse or violation against the TOU in other sections should be reported by the contact form in the Contact section. In the title of your message please write: "Abuse report". Please also pr us a link to the page on which the abuse or violation appeared.
Currently we support the following file formats:
- videos: .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .mp4, .mov, .flv
- pictures: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png
- documents: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .txt, .zip, .rar
Video files can have up to 2 GB. In case of larger files, please contact us and we will get back to you.
Please check whether the activation message has not been stopped by spam protection filter on you e-mail account and is not in your spam box. If not, please check whether your e-mail is correct. If the your e-mail address is in our database and you did not receive the activation link, please contact us using the contact form in the Contact section.
If you can't sign in please chceck if your e-mail adresss and passwords is correct. If you do not remember you passwords please use a password reminder. You can find it in sign in box. On a given e-mail adress you will get a link to set a new password.
