Case description

These pictures show a specimen of a spleen of elderly female patient with chronic lymphatic leukemia, presenting with abdominal pain and hypotensis. CT scan showed a rupture of an enlarged spleen, so urgent splenectomia was performed with good postoperative course. Due to elderly age of the patient prolonged nursing was necessary.
