Palliative Laparoscopic Ileotransversostomy
Case description
Surgical video case: a female patient with extensive hepatic flexure mass (histological verification shows mammar carcinoma) is presented in this video. Due to obstruction is imminint, a palliative ileotransversostomy is performed. There is already an adhesion and infiltration of small bowel loop, so the anastomosis is constructed approximately 250 cm distally from the Treitz ligament. Postoperative course uneventful, only CRP elevated with no clinical correlation, tumor lysis is suspected.
