Right middle lobectomy performed robot assisted using the DaVinci Xi robotic surgical system. This patient had a 2cm mass deep within the right middle lobe. Being a smoker and having a history of coloncancerresection we were uncertain as to the etiology of the tumour which was not easily amenable to biopsy. Staging PET (FDG) did not reveal any other sites of disease. Taken for an elective lung resection.
