Case description
Impacted stone at the ampulla is a common cause of acute suppurative cholangitis or acute biliary pancreatitis. Suppurative cholangitis is associated with a significantly high morbidity and mortality and warrants urgent ERCP for biliary decompression and removal of the impacted stone.
