Case description

Middle aged patient underwent colonoscopy and was found to have a cecal mass; biopsies revealed tubulovillous adenoma with high grade dysplasia, with some distorted glands. The patient came for a second opinion to see if this could be resected by endoscopy as the lesion was not confirmed to be cancer. Prior endoscopy images provided a glimpse of the polyp due to difficulty in evaluating the full lesion. This video shows obvious features of cancer with ulceration of the polyp; biopsies confirmed cancer.
