Case description

Video presents the case of middle aged woman with a flat lesion on the ileocecal valve found on screening colonoscopy. She was referred for EMR. Laterally spreading granular tumor was identyfied (probably adenoma). The first part of the procedure was injection of 15 ml of Indigo Carmine solution in 4 sites; one created a mucosal bleb - when that happens, physician had to stop quickly to avoid making resection difficult. Then, snare resection was performed, followed by APC to prevent delayed recurrence.
Post procedure diet: Liquid diet for 2 days, low residue diet for 2 days, and regular diet on day 5.
Followup: 6 months to confirm eradication and exclude any other flat lesions.
