- Lucian Mocan, senior surgeon, associate professor, MD, PhD, specializes in minimally invasive digestive surgery and has been involved in laparoscopic advanced procedures for his entire medical career. He graduated in 2002 and he had training in advanced laparoscopic procedures in Sweden, Germany, Nederland, France and Japan. During his career he performed more than 1500 laparoscopic procedures for gastrointestinal disorders as well as gastrointestinal cancers (colo-rectal, stomach, liver, pancreas and esophagus). Dr. Mocan also teaches general surgery at Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj Napoca and is a member of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery.
