Case description

In this video we present a complete surgery of a caecal cancer in a BMI 52 patient. Note the cancer attached to anterior and lateral abdominal wall, it is however facilitating the medial dissection around the ileocecal bundle. Also a part of the video is the isoperistaltic ileotransversostomy construction. In the end we perfom an ICG perfusion scan.

The postoperative course was uneventful and patient was discharged on POD 5 (rather social and logistic reasons, was however fully rehabilitated and with functional bowel movements on POD 3).

The specimen was pT4N0 with a lymph node yield of 26 nodes. The resection margins were clear (R0 specimen).
