Case description

Female pt, 52 years old, presenting with neglected huge pelvi-abdominal mass associated with severe anemia and respiratory embarrassment. Intra-operatively the mass was tightly impacted in the pelvis and reaching up to the diaphragm. Disimpaction from the pelvic basin after dissecting off adherent viscera followed by total abdominal hysterectomy with salpingo-oophorectomy + omentectomy done. Post-operative histopathology revealed, leiomyoma with sarcomatous change.
