Case description

A postmenopausal patient was referred due to an ultrasound finding suggestive of an endometrial polyp.A hysteroscopy was performed, revealing mild stenosis of the internal cervical (ICO), which was resolved with scissors. The uterine cavity showed atrophic endometrium and two free calcified structures consistent with probable bone metaplasia. The patient tolerated the procedure very well and prepared with 600 mg of ibuprofen one hour prior to the examination.
