Case description

Many women suffer from infertility as a result of the tubes being blocked. In some cases, the tubes are blocked at the end. In other cases, the tubes are blocked at the very beginning. This case is an example of just that: proximal tubal occlusion. A hysteroscopically guided wire and catheter are placed under laparoscopic guidance to relieve the obstruction. The whole procedure took 40 minutes and she can begin trying to have a child as soon as she feels up to it.
