The duodenal walls are thick Ovarian tumors are derived from epithelial cells and occur in women between 40 and 65 years of age. Epithelial ovarian cancers commonly spread along the peritoneal surfaces by exfoliation of cells, and lymphatic dissemination to the pelvic and para-aortic nodes is noted in advanced disease. Hematogenous spread at diagnosis is rare, with only 2% to 3% of patients having lung or liver metastases.
