Case description

A 70-year-old man with a history of gastrectomy and gastro-jejunal anastomosis presented with acute cholangitis.

Procedure: 

- A GIF 1100 gastroscope was used 

- Access to the second portion of the duodenum was achieved via the afferent jejunal limb

- Cannulation was performed using a cannula with a guidewire

- Large balloon dilation was carried out as an alternative to sphincterotomy

- Stone extraction was successfully completed using a balloon.
