Case description

Complications of open eardrum perforation includes conductive hearing loss with the risk of recurrent infections from external or internal sources. Documentation of the site, dimension and presence of ongoing infection is needed. Sometimes, it is a possibility to visualize middle ear structures which can add valuable informations. A large central perforation of the right eardrum in quiescent (inactive) stage is presented.
