Case description

One the most perfect imitator of many diseases are tuberculosis. The symptoms include hoarse voice, chronic coughs, pain in the throat, or even noisy breathing, fever with night sweats, loss of appetite, and loss of weight. We may potentially find a simple ulcer or even an exuberant polypoidal/papillary swellings and tumour-like projections. Sputum for acid-fast bacilli, Mantoux test, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), chest X-ray, biopsy of the lesion, checking the immune deficiency status are the helpful to properly diagnose the patient. Tuberculous multi-drug chemotherapy should be order as a treatment (also given to the affected person). Control screening is necessary. Larynx affected by tuberculosis is shown (endoscopic findings - multiple ulcers, ertyhema, and sloughy material were seen throughout the laryngeal mucosa with the arytenoids appears oedematous and red). Involvement of the anterior and posterior commissure increases a risk of web and scar formations upon healing.
