Case description

The following video will highlight the technique of robotic vesicourethral anastamosis. This is video 9 of 10 in a series focused on robotic radical prostatectomy for localized prostate cancer.

Upon completion of the prostatectomy, the prostate specimen is placed in a small retrieval bag for later removal. At this time, the final reconstruction of the urinary system in completed. This involves the suture repair of the cut bladder neck to the urethral stump. A continuous suture is used to ensure a water-tight closure.
