Case description
60 year old lady with generalised myasthenia gravis was found to have a 6.6cm thymoma on CT imaging. She was treated with intravenous immunoglobulin and then taken for surgery. The Da VinciXi robotic surgical system was used. Surgery was difficult due to the relative large size of the tumour and the obesity of the patient (BMI 49). She made an uneventful recovery and was discharged home 4 days post-operatively.
