Case description

The elevation of the tympanomeatal flap could be one of the longer processes to master on the learning curve of endoscopic ear surgery. As a well vascularized area, bleeding control could be challenging. Electrocauterization is not usually used in conventional ear surgery, but it can be a powerful ally at the beginning. This step is probably easier for rhinologists who would like to step into ear surgery, as they are used to these kinds of procedures.
