Case description

In this video we can see the endoscopic view of the larynx with an absence of its epiglottis [dotted squares]. As we can see the left vocal fold is immobile. However it is almost completely-compensated with minimal phonatory gap. The epiglottis (the lid of the voicebox) as the first barrier protects the tracheobronchial tree against an aspiration; others are the false and true vocal folds. In this case the radiotherapy was performed in the past because of a locally advanced laryngeal cancer.
