Case description

Transnasal fiberoptic approach is a technique which could be used to remove impacted fishbone. Laryngologist inserts the forceps into instrumentation side channel and prepare just proximal to the tip of the scope only to be pushed further when foregin body is enough close. After nice fishbone grasp, it will be pulled together with the scope and delivered by nostril passage. Transoral technique of foreign body romoval could also be performed with the assistant picking it out from fiberoptic tip in the throat. Before the procedure, the patient's throat and nasal cavity had been sprayed with topical anaesthetic. The bone was successfully removed without use of general anaesthesia.
