I open the cystic duct logitudinally to retrieve impacted cystic duct stones. On applying my loop to secure the distal end of the cystic duct, it was distal to the distal end of the longitudinal opening of the cystic duct. But it encroached upon the CBD as you see in this video. This encroachement upon the CBD may lead to its stricture, so I removed this loop and replace it with another one which was applied in a more appropriate site as you will see at the end of my video. All these steps should be done so meticulously to avoid bile duct and vascular injuries.
