Case description

Post cholecystectomy subphrenic abscess A 35 year old patient without any comorbid diseases presented with calculous cholecystitis, for which he underwent lap cholecystectomy. No surgical complications occurred during or soon after surgery. However his counts started rising. He had right sided pleural effusion and raised, tented, right dome of diaphragm. After a pleural tapping his codition did not improve. A C.T. Scan confirmed the sub phrenic abscess. He was reposted for laparoscopic drainage on day 12 of the first surgery, the video of which is shown.
