Case description

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) manifests with chronic esophagitis or Barrett esophagus and also a cancer. Sometimes a hiatal hernia also appears in this disease. Surgery with Nissen's fundoplication or Tuopet/ Dor procedure has been till now the only method of treatment. Nowadays, mini-invasive technique (endoscopy) called Esophyx TIF II has it's world success with about 4000 healed patients. This procedure has slowly become an everyday practice.
