Colonic Varices
Case description
65 year old female on long-term warfarin because of a history of deep vein thrombosis. She has an inferior vena cava filter for the same thing. The patient had a prior left nephrectomy due to chronic pyelonephritis. She received a letter from the colon call back registry where she used to live
Because of a history of adenomatous colon polyps and she asked me to do the scope rather than go back.
The photos show an interesting finding of colonic varices.
