This presentation provides an introductory discussion on the rapidly developing technology of Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC) in gastrointestinal The presenter will review the technology behind this modality. The technology behind this modality as well as the indications, benefits, and limitations of APC are also reviewed. A discussion of the potential risks and complications associated with its use is also reviewed along with the basic settings and use of APC equipment. This was presented by Ryan D. Torrie BSc, MD, CCFP at the 2012 American Association for Primary Care Endoscopy at their annual CME conference in San Francisco, CA.
