Shunt Aneurysm

Case description
Shunts between arteries are exposed to high pressure of circulating blood. In some cases junctions between arteries are not strong enough to withstand this exposure and the false aneurysm is formed. Extravasated blood enters surrounding tissues, which stop the bleeding. After some time blood gets surrounded by connective tissue, which restores the continuity of the vessel.
The following video shows an angiography, where shunt aneurysm is clearly visible.
