Dr. Abdulelah A. Murshid MD, MHA, FRCS-C, is a premier adult cardiac surgeon with 20+ years of experience in complex cardiovascular care. He re0established the cardiac surgery services at Al-Hada Military Hospital, Taif, and has previously established and advanced cardiac programs across Saudi Arabia, including Saad Specialist Hospital and Dammam Cardiac Center. His expertise spans heart valve repair/replacement, coronary artery surgery, LV remodeling, aortic procedures, arrhythmia surgery, and critical care, with robust involvement in perioperative management, ECMO, IABP, and postoperative wound care. Dr. Murshid is adept in departmental administration, quality improvement, and hospital operations, having driven strategic planning, budgeting, policy design, and licensure collaborations with the Saudi Council for Medical Specialties. He has earned notable academic achievements, including an MBA in Hospital Administration and fellowships in heart transplantation and cardiac surgery from the University of Ottawa and McGill, plus advanced training in Canada and the UK. His career highlights include initiating the first cardiac surgery service in Eastern Saudi Arabia, elevating cardiovascular care to a leading national center, and contributing to health system inspections and private-sector licensure.
