Double Urethra - Trauma Acquired
The video presents a case of trauma acquired double urethra. False passage leads to the urinary bladder, whose neck is contracted. Urethral injuries are relatively uncommon and are usually divided into anterior or posterior injuries. The vast majority are due to blunt trauma. Posterior urethral injuries are due to pelvic fracture and anterior urethral injuries to straddle-type injury. The management goal for urethral injuries is to minimize the chances for the debilitating complications of incontinence, impotence and urethral stricture.
