Case description

A 67 year old male patient was admitted to our department for surgery of nodule in LLL. High risk patient: right pneumonectomy (lung cancer) 10 years ago; chest trauma: rib fractures and left hemothorax requiring 2 chest tubes. Residual pleural effusion after drains. Asbestosis
The patient was operated by uniportal VATS: A wedge resection of left lower lobe nodule was performed. The lung was fixed to diaphragm, mediastinum and chest wall. Strong adherences requiered extrapleural detachment. Video by Diego Gonzalez-Rivas, MD.
