The patient went with acute otitis media. After 1 week on endoscopy we saw this pic. It was the shunt. This shunt was removed in hospital, after this manipulation we saw a lot of exudate.
In this patient the accumulating purulent material in the middle ear has caused the tympanic membrane to bulge laterally and is pushing a previously placed ventilation tube out of the tympanic membrane.
The appearance of purulent discharge in this patient's external canal is the result of a perforation which developed in the tympanic membrane from untreated acute otitis media.
