Laparoscopic Partial Colon Resection Using a Stapler Technique in 16 Year Old Girl
Case description
The film presents laparoscopic stapler partial colon resection in 16 year old girl. The indication for operation was massive, rectal prolapse with concomitant symptoms of dolichosigma. The linear and circular stapler were used. After resection the colon was fixed to the presacral fascia wit single non-absorbable sutures. The postoperative course was uneventful. Good clinical effect was achieved. Procedure was performed in the Department of Pediatric Surgery in Zabrze, Medical University of Silesia, Poland.
