Dr. Alghalya Al-Maawali is a dual-fellowship-certified Pediatric and General Surgeon at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman. She completed her residency and Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at the University of British Columbia and BC Children's Hospital, Vancouver, earning dual FRCSC certification and multiple teaching and clinical excellence awards.
Her surgical focus includes advanced laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures in neonates and children, hepatobiliary surgery, congenital anomalies, and pediatric trauma. She is an active researcher, clinician-educator,and a TEDx speaker.
