- Graduate of the Medical University of Silesia. Currently Head of the Department of Surgery of Children's Malformations and Traumatology in Zabrze. In the area of scientific and professional interests are pediatric surgery, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery, neonatal surgery. He gained experience in many training courses in USA, France, Germany and Italy. Certified to European Institute of Telesurgery IRCAD-EITS in Strasbourg in the field of laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, laparoscopic endocrine surgery and laparoscopic pediatric surgery. Holder of European Certificate of Specialization in the field of pediatric surgery given by EBPS (The European Board of Paediatric Surgery in) and UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists ). Author or co-author of 73 scientific publications, 10 book chapters and 163 congress reports.
