Case description

In this video we can see the typical appearance of an intubation granuloma in a child. The pale looking benign mass involves the cartilaginous segment of the true vocal cords (yellow circles). The factors which predispose to its formation include traumatic endotracheal tube (ETT) insertion, oversize ETT, poorly secured ETT under-sedation, prolonged intubation, and undiagnosed laryngitis reflux.
