Case description

Hair follicles are usually associated with sebaceous glands in the nearby skin area. Rarely, they can also apper in the mucous membrane. The character of the lesions is benign and usually found incidentally. The laryngologist can biopsy the change. Characteristic features are diagnostic: whitish, measuring 1-3 mm, slightly elevated musoca over each lesion. Fordyce granules are shown. They involve buccal and retromolar trigone mucosa.
