Case description

This particular case presents poorly controlled allegric rhinitis - typical endoscopic foundings are presented. Hyperhrophy of the inferior turbinates on both sides are found. Turbinates are pale in colour and accompanied by excessive mucous production. Prominent nasal blockage and congestions are diagnosed. The common symptoms are: reduced or absent smell, secondary altered taste sensation. Other presenting symptoms include coughs from postnasal drip of the nasal secretions, impaired hearing from eustachian tube dysfunction or serous otitis media, and throat discomfort and dryness from hypertrophic pharyngitis and mouth breathing.
