Case description

Cervical myelopathy is a neurologic impairment due to compression of the spinal cord in cervical canal. Usually to make diagnosis MRI is needed. One of the earliest symptoms include changes hand dexterity and coordination. Progression in cervical myelopathy can result in intrinsic atrophy, weakness in grip and impaired ability to perform rapid alternating movements. Clinical presentation may vary in individuals, but typically there is symmetric numbness and tingling in the extremities.
