Case description

This video is demonstrating limb-sparing resection of the proximal femur for a chandrosarcoma. The proximal femur is reconstructed with a modular segmental proximal femur tumor prosthesis. The surgery is presented by James Wittig, an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and chief of orthopedic oncology. It contains of limb-salvage excision and prosthesis implantation. X rays, CAT scans and MRI images are presented and briefly commented. After that doctor walk the viewer through the whole procedure, explaining every incision in very detail. In the end the results are shown, post-op x-rays are commented and postoperative care is presented.
