Cervicovagainal Agenesis
Case description
Laparoscopic procedure: cervicovaginal and rectovaginal space creation & uterine incision.
In this detailed laparoscopic surgery video, we demonstrate the creation of the cervicovaginal and rectovaginal spaces, followed by an H-shaped incision to open the potential space in the vagina. Key steps include:
1. Deep cervicovaginal space creation reaching the trigone of the bladder.
2. Deep rectovaginal space creation reaching the perineum.
3. Opening the potential vaginal space with an H-shaped incision from the perineum.
4. Laparoscopic opening of the uterus and extending the incision to the cervix.
5. Introduction of a gauge on long allis forceps into the vagina and opening it transversely.
6. Suturing the vagina to the cervix with three stitches.
7. Insertion of a silicone foley catheter into the uterine cavity.
8. Post-operative hysteroscopy after 15 days to check the patency of the vagina and cervix.
This video is an invaluable resource for understanding the intricacies and precise techniques involved in these advanced laparoscopic procedures.
