Case description

62-year-old male patient with symptoms of cholecystitis lasting for 4 days. He was submitted to laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Intraoperatively mild inflammation was found what made the operation relatively easy. However, annoying bleeding from liver parenchyma occurred. This required temporary stopping the ventilation to reduce the intrathoracic pressure to zero and facilitate hemostasis.

Total blood loss was 100 ml and the patient went home on the following day.
