Gastric carcinoma is the most common gastrointestinal malignancies worldwide. Causes Several factors are implicated in the development of gastric cancer, including diet, Helicobacter pylori infection, previous gastric surgery, pernicious anemia, adenomatous polyps, chronic atrophic gastritis, prior radiation exposure or inherited syndromes.
