Case description

In total there were six varices that were ligated a new session will be programmed shortly. Thrombocytopenia, presence of encephalopathy, low hemoglobin on admission, and endoscopic findings large varices, presence of red color sign, fundal varix and portal gastropathy are predictors of Esophageal Variceal Bleeding. This stratification may help clinicians identify cirrhotic patients who will need aggressive pharmacologic and endoscopic intervention for variceal bleeding.
