Case description

This case is a 70 year old female with history of diabetes mellitus with incisional hernia repair done twice now presented with pain and swelling in the incision site for 6 months, surgery for renal calculi removal was done 30 years back. This was diagnosed as left lumbar hernia hernia with descending colon as contents. This a rare type of hernia and incidence accounts to 1 %. Patient underwent Laparoscopic Hybrid IPOM hernioplasty. Postoperative period was eventful.
