Case description

A 66 year old woman returned for colonoscopy 5 years after an exam when she was found to polyps. Colonoscopy revealed colon cancer. In order to benefit from the colonoscopy to prevent cancer, the patient should do the preparation right; colon polyps may be missed if the preparation is not good. And, the physician should take time and carefully examine the colon so that the lesions are not overlooked. Once found, the lesions should be removed completely.
