Case description

Pancreas cancer treatment efficacy and it's consequence depend mainly on cancer's stage. To standarize the tumor advance range, a staging system of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) TNM is in use. It contain 3 types of information: T - says about the scale of the tumor in centimeters, N - describes the spread to regional nodes and M - says about metastases in other organs (they usually spread to the liver, peritoneum or lungs). This video shows the 3 cm cancer, invading the celiac axis blood vessels (T4) and lymph nodes (N1). CT scan didn't confirm any metastasis in the thoracic cavity and the amdomen. The palliative therapy of CPN (celiac plexus neurolysis) was performed because of the pain and cancer inoperability (tumor spreads to celiac ganglia, radio- and chemotherapy was also undertaken).
