Stercoral Ulcer (Solitary Rectal Ulcer Syndrome)

Solitary Rectal Ulcer Syndrome is usually a coincidental finding that can be
mistaken for ulcerative colitis, cancer, or other more common diseases with
abnormal presentation. Symptoms may be none, bleeding, passage of mucous, incomplete emptying and straining. Treatment is debatable and consists of doing nothing vs. surgery for those with rectal prolapse.
